2022 John Locke七大領域話題公布

John Locke寫作比賽提供哲學、政治、經濟學、歷史、心理學、宗教、法律共七個領域的內容（僅限高中組，初中組題目是額外的），喜愛文科方向的學生絕對不要錯過！

往年高中組每個領域都是3個話題，今年首次增加至4個，且難度不斷增大，給同學們更多不同挑戰！

哲學類Philosophy

Q1. How likely is the multiverse? Would it change anything if (somehow) we came to know the theory was true?

多元宇宙的可能性有多大？如果（不知何故）我們知道這個理論是真的，它會改變什么嗎？

Q2. If our actions are a consequence of our capacities and preferences, and if those things are, in turn, a result of our genetic inheritance and the external world in which we happen to find ourselves, are we ultimately responsible for our choices?

如果我們的行為是我們能力和偏好的結果，如果這些事情反過來又是我們基因遺傳和我們碰巧發現自己的外部世界的結果，那么我們最終對我們的選擇負責嗎？

John Locke Essay Competition寫作比賽是由位于英國牛津的獨立教育組織John Locke Institute與牛津、普林斯頓、布朗、白金漢大學等名校教授合作組織的學術項目。

比賽意在考察學生在不同學科領域內的基本知識結構、議論文的基本寫作格式與技巧，獨立思考能力以及清晰的邏輯辯證分析能力。

1組織背景

John Locke Institute 以十七世紀牛津哲學家約翰·洛克（John Locke）的名字命名。

洛克被尊稱為古典自由主義之父，他是文藝復興時期的哲學家、政治學家、經濟學家和醫學家。洛克既有思想又付諸于行動。

2適合學生

● 高年級組：15歲~18歲

●?低年級組：15歲及以下

推薦英文寫作能力較強，喜歡在人文領域鉆研的同學參加

3比賽時間

●?截止投稿時間：2022年6月30日?晚上11:59pm(GMT)

●?通知入圍候選人：2022年7月14日

●?頒獎晚宴：2022年9月（不同類別時間不同）

4比賽要求

每篇文章只能在所選主題類別中回答一個問題，可以提交多篇文章，但不得超過2000字（不包括圖表、數據表、腳注、參考書目或作者聲明）。

論文將根據知識水平和對相關材料的理解、證據的有效使用、論證的質量、結構、寫作風格和說服力來進行評判。

學生的文章會受到來自牛津大學的專家評審團的綜合考量，以文章的前瞻性與可讀性為指標進行評選出最好的一篇論文！

5獎項設置

🏆 Grand Prize（1名）：獲得John Locke Institute青年榮譽獎學金

🏆?學科獎（一等獎、二等獎、三等獎各1名）：每個學科選出一個最佳作品，獲獎者的參賽作品經作者許可將發表于官網
