有方學員STS喜報

作為全美歷史最悠久、最負盛名的科創賽事,每年都有超50%的STS TOP300入圍者被哈耶普斯麻錄取!
今年共有來自美國46個州、華盛頓特區、北馬里亞納群島、波多黎各及16個國家的826所高中的超2600名學生參與了STS,其中來自美國34個州、華盛頓特區和中國的203所美國及國際高中的學生斬獲Top300的榮譽!

再生元科學天才獎 STS
Regeneron STS始創于1942年,由再生元冠名贊助,鼓勵年輕一代發明創造新科技和方法,改善人們的生活,改變世界。
在含金量和長遠價值的雙重誘惑下,STS成為了全美高中生乃至華人圈的必爭科研賽事之一。
在近兩年晉級STS半決賽的500多位學生中,有50-57%的入圍者錄取哈耶普斯麻,70-76%的學生成功進入TOP15美本!

1、適合學生
在美國及美國所有海外領土高中12年級學生,以及居住在海外的美國公民學生(需提交證明)具備資格申請。
- 目前就讀11年級的同學可以先開始準備項目,在下半年12年級上學期,即高中最后一年的學生進行申報申請。
2、參賽規則
STS必須是單人參賽并完成。
- 不可用已完成的團隊合作項目參賽;
- 不可將團隊項目刻意改成單人項目參賽;
- 可以與科研導師/大學生共同完成研究項目,但他們不能過多干預/直接影響學生單人完成項目的結果;
- 每位學生只能提交一個項目;
- 成果必須充分展示申請學生個人的想法。
3、參賽學科分類
行為和社會科學、生物化學、生物工程、細胞和分子生物學、化學、計算生物學和生物信息學、計算機科學、地球和行星科學、工程、環境科學、基因組學、材料科學、數學、醫學和健康、物理、植物科學和空間科學。

⭐計算機、數學、物理都參加了美國國家級競賽
⭐利用課余時間完成了“自傳感軟體機器人”項目,并一舉獲得ISEF、STS頂級科研賽事獎項
在采訪時,Tony同學坦言賓大想要的學生和其他藤校很不同。在賓大招生官的眼中,像STS這樣的實踐類比賽,相較于純粹的學術性競賽,還是更具說服力的。
Tony同學表示:“有方老師經過對歷年ISEF地區賽事的數據分析,發現在我所在的州做偏理不偏工的這種項目,他從課題創新性、實驗可行性及區域賽事特點等維度進行了專業分析,指出軟體機器人方向不僅更符合我們州的評審喜好,且這個課題是帶實驗的,是一個比較前沿的課題。巧妙地將興趣與參賽需求相結合,實現了二者的完美融合!”
“我曾以為,只要項目做得好,自然能脫穎而出,如同金子總會發光。然而事實并非如此,你得告訴人家它在發光。”Tony同學對自己的科研經歷有說不完的話,相信也正是感受到了他對科研的這份熱忱,所以才得到了賓大招生官的肯定!
