This week we celebrateFounders’ Week in honor of the day we first opened our doors on September 17, 1912.
這周,我們舉行“創始人紀念周”活動來慶祝1912年9月17日上海美國學校的創立。
At Shanghai American School, the 1933 yearbook, called "The Columbian"at the time, is rather infamous.
上海美國學校1933年的年鑒《The Columbian》可謂是聲名狼藉了。
The school’s first few decades saw the production of a beautiful set of yearbooks. Each was impeccably designed and produced by students under the guidance of a faculty advisor. The 1933 edition was no different, at least until it arrived at the printer.
For reasons lost to history, the 1933 yearbook was mistakenly printed in all green ink. It so horrified the editor of the yearbook, she refused to hold a copy in her hands until an alumni reunion in 1988, a mere 55 years later.
Founded in 1912, Shanghai American School (SAS) is the largest and most established international school in China. In short, it's the kind of school you wish you would've attended when you were a kid.
