Being a Panther at the Olympiad！| 奧林匹亞盛會(huì)上的德威美洲豹！

The week before Spring Break, 73 students and 12 staff headed to London for the Dulwich Olympiad. A longer, more detailed report from students will come out in the next couple of weeks, but in the meantime, I wanted to share with the community how proud I was of the whole team. And when I say “team”, I meanallthe Art, Music, Drama, and Sport students and their teachers who embarked on this epic journey.

Before we departed, we talked about what it means to be a Panther, including how we support each other in the classroom, on the field, and on the stage. We talked about taking responsibility, being resilient and adaptable, and having high expectations of each other and ourselves. We talked about being aware of where you are, following instructions, and taking care of each other.

We are extremely grateful to all the students and staff who came on this trip. The attitudes they chose to have, despite their tiredness or the complicated days, made it an absolute pleasure to lead. I have never been prouder to be a Panther.

春假前一周，我校73名學(xué)生和12名教職人員共同赴倫敦參加德威奧林匹亞盛會(huì)。來自學(xué)生們的長篇詳盡報(bào)告將在未來幾周內(nèi)公布，但此時(shí)此刻，我想與全校社區(qū)一同分享，我為自己是這個(gè)團(tuán)隊(duì)中的一員而感到多么驕傲。我所說的團(tuán)隊(duì)，包括踏上此次非凡旅程的所有藝術(shù)、音樂、戲劇和體育課程師生。

出發(fā)前，我們?cè)接戇^作為“美洲豹”意味著什么，我們應(yīng)如何在課堂、運(yùn)動(dòng)場(chǎng)或舞臺(tái)上互相支持。我們討論了如何承擔(dān)責(zé)任、培養(yǎng)韌性與適應(yīng)能力，以及如何對(duì)他人和自己賦予高期望。我們還談到了處境意識(shí)、遵循指示和互相關(guān)懷。

從師生們抵達(dá)倫敦的那一刻起，他們所發(fā)揚(yáng)的學(xué)校精神就顯而易見了;但對(duì)我來說，最切實(shí)感受到這種精神的時(shí)刻是在拔河比賽上。雖然只有16名學(xué)生參加，但就好像73名同學(xué)同時(shí)都在那支隊(duì)伍中。“加油，美洲豹”的呼聲在整個(gè)校園內(nèi)回響，甚至比主隊(duì)的加油聲更為響亮。這為整次行程定下了基調(diào)，無論我們是在舞臺(tái)上，在教室里還是在賽場(chǎng)上，我們的助威聲都是最響亮的。

對(duì)于參與此次行程的所有師生，我想表示由衷的感謝；盡管身體疲憊，在比賽中遇到挫折，他們?nèi)赃x擇以積極的態(tài)度來面對(duì)。能夠領(lǐng)導(dǎo)一支這樣的團(tuán)隊(duì)，我感到無比榮幸，也從未對(duì)自己身為美洲豹的一員而感到如此自豪。?
