該劇根據(jù)真人真事改篇。上世紀(jì)60年代末，英國剛剛對同性戀除罪化（decriminalised），而當(dāng)時(shí)的自由黨領(lǐng)袖Jeremy Thorpe卻隱藏著一個(gè)秘密——他有一個(gè)前同性戀人Norman Scott。

 

對于這樣一個(gè)心頭之患，Jeremy起了殺心。他策劃謀殺，但最終不但不成事，還被對方指控意圖謀殺。Jeremy Thorpe因此成為首位因謀殺案而受審判的英國政治家，更被公眾得知他的同志身份。

 

這部短小精悍的3集英劇可以說非常精彩了，情節(jié)緊湊，高潮迭起，把一個(gè)政壇丑聞拍成了一部充滿英式黑色幽默的喜劇片。

除了有一些傳統(tǒng)黑幫題材的色彩，這部劇不走尋常路——家庭倫理篇幅很大。

 

所以不用擔(dān)心這部劇過于“黑幫化”，里面也有很多溫情的畫面，是一部殺人不見血的黑幫片……
