That Day Tradition Made Us Blush 那一天，照片展示傳統(tǒng)讓我們漲紅臉

Every year around the same time on Shanghai American School’s Pudong campus, large picture boards with the faces of every high school student and faculty member are put on display in the hallway of the High School Commons.

在上海美國(guó)學(xué)校浦東校區(qū)，每一年的同一時(shí)間，高中部公共區(qū)的走廊里都會(huì)張貼出許多大幅照片，上面有每一名高中同學(xué)和老師的臉龐。

This tradition is met with a variety of reactions upon initially seeing the pictures. Some laugh or grimace at photos of themselves or friends. Some feel nostalgia for the Eagles who will be graduating in the spring. And some parents even come around to take photos of their child’s friends. (“Oh, THAT’S what Josh looks like!”) But more than any reaction, the tradition is about community, connection, and ensuring we start each day with a smile.

這是我們學(xué)校的傳統(tǒng)，但是乍一看到照片，同學(xué)們的反應(yīng)卻各不相同。對(duì)著自己或朋友的照片，有人哈哈大笑，有人扮起鬼臉，有些則為同學(xué)春天即將畢業(yè)而傷感，還有的家長(zhǎng)甚至專門(mén)前來(lái)拍攝孩子朋友的照片（“噢，原來(lái)Josh長(zhǎng)這樣！”）。但是無(wú)論大家作何反應(yīng)，學(xué)校的這項(xiàng)傳統(tǒng)的意義都在于團(tuán)結(jié)社區(qū)、溝通感情，鼓勵(lì)我們用微笑迎接每一天。
