Mitosis Detection and Tumor Grading Using Deep Convolutional Neural Networks
獲獎(jiǎng)作品摘要
Analyzing mitosis proliferation is crucial to physician grading of tumor severity and prognosis. Despite the time and effort poured into automated mitosis detection, no systems have been able to perform at the level of skilled pathologists, who manually examine slide images for mitotic cells.

Designing a Reinforcement Learning Controller for Insulin Delivery in an Artificial Pancreas
獲獎(jiǎng)作品摘要
With the growing prevalence of Type 1 Diabetes (T1D), the complete loss of insulin production among children and adults, the artificial pancreas is becoming increasingly necessary to combat long-term health implications due to extended periods of hyperglycemia. An artificial pancreas—which consists of a constant glucose monitor and an insulin pump controlled by an algorithm that responds to spikes in blood glucose—functions completely hands-free.
An Investigation and Computer Simulation on the Temperature Dependence for Hall Mobility and Quality Factor in GaAs
獲獎(jiǎng)作品摘要
To improve how researchers study materials for high-performance electronics, mathematical models and simulations can be created to predict the performance and properties of these materials. Currently, researchers studying carrier properties in semiconductors can either test the results in a lab expending time or use long algorithms that take time and use significant amounts of computational power.
