Studies show that childhood play is beneficial to develop students’ motor skills, such as walking, running, and coordination. Playing in challenging recreational facilities can stimulate students’ creativity, imaginations, executive function, and teamwork skills. On April 29, the first, second, and third grade students went to Baoyan Paradise to explore and have fun! The recreational facilities provided them with a great chance to show and improve their different skills. Research also shows that field trips are crucial in helping students develop hands-on experiences, deepening their understanding of culture, and preparing them for the future. While the lower graders were playing in Baoyan, the fourth and fifth grade students went to Shanghai Great World to experience the special culture of old-time Shanghai.



1. Exploring the Secrets of the Playground.
The students from first to third grade enjoyed everything in the indoor playground. They had so much fun with the slides, trampolines, climbing, etc. The students shared their experiences and learned from each other to keep balance better, jump higher, and climb farther. Students enjoyed every single minute in the park!











2. Feeling the Culture of Old-time Shanghai.
The fourth and fifth grade students felt the fascinating culture at Shanghai Great World. The students visited home models to see how people lived in 70s. Then they were impressed by the craftsmanship and the exquisite handcrafts, such as clay sculptures, sugar-molds, and Chinese shadow puppets. After lunch, they enjoyed a magic show, and had a fun time in the carnival mirror house.





Both of these field trips not only allowed students to relax after the midterm exams, but also powered them with more energy for the second half semester!

探索樂園的秘密
一至三年級的同學們享受著樂園中的一切。滑梯、蹦床、攀爬等
游戲讓同學們玩得不亦樂乎。同學們在玩的同時也在交流經驗,你教我怎么攀登到頂峰,我教你如何在過獨木橋時保持平衡。每個同學都酣暢淋漓,享受著游戲帶來的歡樂。
感受老上海的情調
四五年級的同學們在“大上海”領略著上海特殊的文化底蘊。同學們參觀了“弄堂人家”,體驗了70年代的人們是如何生活的。隨后同學們被捏泥人、皮影戲、吹糖人等精湛的民間手藝和匠人精神所折服,不斷稱贊前人的智慧。午飯過后,同學們欣賞了魔術表演,并在哈哈鏡屋中盡情歡笑。
期中后的春游既可以讓同學們放松精神,調節心情,更是讓同學們攢足精神,迎接下半學期的挑戰!
