簡(jiǎn)介

The Master of Architecture (MArch)* is a two-year UGC-funded full-time programme offered by the Department of Architecture.? The two-year MArch is offered to applicants who hold a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies degree at this University; or a qualification of equivalent standard from this University or another comparable institution accepted for this purpose.

建筑學(xué)碩士*由建筑系開(kāi)辦，為期兩年，由教資會(huì)資助的全日制課程。獲本大學(xué)建筑學(xué)學(xué)士學(xué)位的申請(qǐng)人，可獲為期兩年的建筑學(xué)碩士;或由本大學(xué)或?yàn)榇四康亩邮艿钠渌?lèi)似機(jī)構(gòu)頒發(fā)的具有同等標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的資格證書(shū)。

Hong Kong is situated at the crossroads of modern China and the international community, and within this unique context, the MArch programme prepares students for the challenges to be faced by architects in the twenty-first century. Graduates of the programme benefit from local expertise, firsthand knowledge of China, and global readiness. MArch students are immersed in an active culture of service and scholarship, in which disciplinary experimentation is balanced with the teaching of core professional competencies. Through a multidisciplinary curriculum emphasizing current design and production technologies, within an understanding of the historical and theoretical culture of architecture, the programme enables students to acquire broad expertise, skills and knowledge with which to confront the complexities of contemporary architectural discourse, design and practice.

香港位于現(xiàn)代中國(guó)和國(guó)際社會(huì)的十字路口，在這個(gè)獨(dú)特的背景下，MArch項(xiàng)目讓學(xué)生為二十一世紀(jì)建筑師所面臨的挑戰(zhàn)做好準(zhǔn)備。該項(xiàng)目的畢業(yè)生受益于當(dāng)?shù)氐膶?zhuān)業(yè)知識(shí)、對(duì)中國(guó)的第一手知識(shí)和全球準(zhǔn)備工作。建筑學(xué)的學(xué)生沉浸在積極的服務(wù)和學(xué)術(shù)文化中，學(xué)科實(shí)驗(yàn)與核心專(zhuān)業(yè)能力的教學(xué)相平衡。透過(guò)強(qiáng)調(diào)當(dāng)代設(shè)計(jì)及生產(chǎn)技術(shù)的多學(xué)科課程，在了解建筑的歷史及理論文化的基礎(chǔ)上，本課程使學(xué)生獲得廣泛的專(zhuān)業(yè)知識(shí)、技能及知識(shí)，以面對(duì)當(dāng)代建筑話語(yǔ)、設(shè)計(jì)及實(shí)踐的復(fù)雜性。

The professional degree of two-year Master of Architecture (MArch) is recognized by the Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA), Architects Registration Board (ARB), Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), Commonwealth Association of Architects (CAA) and the National Board of Architectural Accreditation (NBAA). Upon passing the Professional Assessment held by HKIA/ARB in Hong Kong, graduates are eligible to apply for admission as Members of HKIA and as Registered Architects.

香港建筑師學(xué)會(huì)(HKIA)、建筑師注冊(cè)局(ARB)、英國(guó)皇家建筑師學(xué)會(huì)(RIBA)、聯(lián)邦建筑師協(xié)會(huì)(CAA)及國(guó)家建筑評(píng)審委員會(huì)(NBAA)均認(rèn)可兩年制建筑學(xué)碩士專(zhuān)業(yè)學(xué)位。經(jīng)香港建筑師學(xué)會(huì)/建筑師專(zhuān)業(yè)評(píng)審?fù)ㄟ^(guò)后，畢業(yè)生可申請(qǐng)成為香港建筑師學(xué)會(huì)會(huì)員及注冊(cè)建筑師。

Candidates are required to complete 144 credits, consisting of 11 core courses (114 credits) and 5 elective courses (30 credits), in order to complete the two-year full-time curriculum.
