從尚德走向世界

尚德融合部IBDP項目自2013年以來一直堅持給優(yōu)秀學(xué)子提供了免費的海外高中長達三周的交換生項目，希望學(xué)生們可以不帶功利心，提前感受目標國家的文化和生活，最重要的是了解同齡人的學(xué)習(xí)狀態(tài)和優(yōu)劣勢，為未來尋找到更清晰的目標和更堅定的力量。

IBDP in SSES Integrated Department has been offering outstanding students free three-week exchange programs since 2013. These programsenablestudents to experience the culture andlifestyle of target countries, get a clear perspective of their strengths and weakness, and thus increase their competitiveness in pursuit of goals.

英國項目England –Sidcot School Program

兩位男生在交流能力方面得到了最大的鍛煉和提高。正如很多人說的，在海外同一個國家的人自然會形成社交圈子，和當(dāng)?shù)厝巳诤鲜欠浅ｋy的。然而，他們也發(fā)現(xiàn)只要想打破這個局面，就必須走出舒適圈。The Sidcot program has greatly improved the two boys’social and communication skills. They forced themselves to step out their comfort zone in their effort to blend in the local life.

學(xué)生感想

August楊智皓丨我覺得真誠是最重要的，尤其是有了誤解或者犯了錯誤的時候，必須要立刻真誠的道歉，否則原有的刻板化印象就會成為根深蒂固的偏見。I think honesty is still the best policy. We need to apologize as soon as we make mistakes or cause misunderstandings to prevent stereotypes from turning into longstanding prejudices.

Alvin徐意翔丨可以一起做喜歡的事情是自然交流的基礎(chǔ)，比如一起運動，做實驗，或者看比賽。這就要求你不能封閉自己，要成為一個有趣的人。Common interests are the basis of further interaction. To fit in the group, you have to open yourself up and show others that you are an interesting person.

美國項目America – Westover School Program

兩位女生在Westover不僅感受了優(yōu)秀美高學(xué)生的獨立自主和自由奔放，也提前體驗和感受到了和大學(xué)的連接。Westover program makesa wonderful transition programfor students who see America as their destination for university education.

學(xué)生感想

Angelina鮑藝文丨我們在去Westover前先進行了訪校，去了我們夢想的康奈爾大學(xué)。走在冬天冰冷的校園，內(nèi)心卻因為激動變得火熱。We visited our dream school –Cornell University. Walking on campus, we could feel the passion burning inside despite the freezing coldness.

Yuki 陳梓媛丨Westover離耶魯大學(xué)特別近，我們不僅可以去參觀耶魯大學(xué)的美術(shù)館，偶爾還能參與到一些他們組織的講座，感覺作為Westover的學(xué)生太幸福了。Westover is very close to Yale University. Not only did we visit the Yale Museum, we also attended the workshops in Yale occasionally. What a bliss it is to be a Westover student!

尚德項目SSES Program

2019年1月DP11年級的兩位女生前往美國Westover女高進行了三周的學(xué)習(xí)，接著兩位男生在英國Sidcot高中渡過了難忘的三周生活。2月底，我們迎來了Westover女高訪問的三位女生。相似的經(jīng)驗讓他們成為了親密無間的伙伴和志同道合的朋友。3月14日晚，在美國女孩即將離開尚德之際，他們用真誠友善和幽默風(fēng)趣的匯報給十年級學(xué)生呈現(xiàn)了交流項目的收獲和思考。In January, 2019, two G11 students – Angelina and Yukiwent on an exchange program to Westover High School in America while August and Alvin spent three weeks in Sidcot High School. At the end of February, three exchange students – Cecelia,Ryan and Britneyfrom Westover came to SSES. They shared their intercultural experiences in theirwell-prepared presentations.

雖然只有兩個周末和兩周時間，三個女孩卻參與和感受到了很多精彩。周末她們在徐昕娜和計菲菲同學(xué)家感受正宗中國家庭的生活，去了蘇州園林，嘗了農(nóng)家小菜。平時她們與尚德學(xué)子同學(xué)同吃同住，感受尚德教育的與眾不同。同時，DP學(xué)部特別為她們安排了一系列中國文化體驗課，做湯圓，寫對聯(lián)，剪紙，刺繡，茶藝和編中國結(jié)。和所有人一樣，她們在挑戰(zhàn)成功后，第一時間拍照傳到Instagram上和美國朋友分享這份快樂。The three Americanstudentshad a great time during their two-week stay. DP department prepared a series of Chinese culture lessons, including making rice dumplings, writing couplets, paper cutting, embroidery and making auspicious Chinese knots. After they completed“missions impossible”, they made vlogs to record these exciting moments and posted them on their Instagram accounts.

印象最深刻的地方？

Britney丨I was impressed by the warm welcome frommy classmates. My friends even came to pick us up in the airport. Ifelt so blessed.

Cecelia丨I saw the Bond! The view is much more beautiful than the pictures on the Internet.

Ryan丨My homestay family is incredibly lovely, especially the grandma. Even though we can only talk through voice translation on Wechat,wefeel really close to each other.

想要全面真實地了解一所學(xué)校，最好的方式就是和那里的學(xué)生朝夕相處一段時間。從這些鮮活的教育名片上，能看到這所學(xué)校校規(guī)的痕跡、理念的落地和精神的傳承。2019年的海外交換生項目暫告結(jié)束，學(xué)生們分別之時淚眼婆娑，難舍難分。希望他們能整理好心情，帶著彼此的祝福，向著同一個目標前進。在不遠的明天，一起攜手步入共同的夢校，續(xù)寫這美好的情誼。As students bid farewell to the exchange programs of 2019, we sincerely hope that they can reignite their friendship in their dream schools intheforeseeable future.
