“沾衣欲濕杏花雨，吹面不寒楊柳風(fēng)”，3月15日，在這春意盎然的日子里，清華附中國際部一學(xué)期一度的校園開放日如期舉行。選擇在國際消費(fèi)者權(quán)益日當(dāng)天舉行開放日，體現(xiàn)了國際部對(duì)自身教學(xué)質(zhì)量和教育理念的信心。本次開放日旨在全方位多層次展示國際部的教育理念、特色課程、硬件設(shè)施和校園文化，幫助家長們?cè)趽裥Ｇ俺浞至私鈱W(xué)校情況。是日，共有約200名家長參與了此次開放日活動(dòng)。
On March 15, THIS annual Open Day was held in Tsinghua International School, which aims to make parents understand THIS well, including our core values, course features, and classroom facilities and school culture. The choice to hold the Open Day on the day of International Consumer Rights Day reflects the confidence of THIS in its teaching quality and educational values.Today, a total of more than 200 parents came to THIS for Open Day.

上午九點(diǎn)，在學(xué)校禮堂，清華附中國際部招生辦主任依蘭主持講座，李文平副校長和Maxine Klimasara副校長介紹了學(xué)校概況、獨(dú)特的校園文化、多彩的課程設(shè)置和豐富的教學(xué)成果。
The Open Day started with a comprehensive introduction of THIS. Lan Yi, the director, hosted the presentation.A full house of parents witnessed presentation from the two vice principals Ms. Li and Ms.Klimasara, who introduced the school culture, diverse academic programs and prominent educational outcomes.

之后，國際部小學(xué)語文教師李京京向小學(xué)家長們介紹了國際部小學(xué)語文課程設(shè)計(jì)、教學(xué)目標(biāo)、教學(xué)活動(dòng)以及中文作為母語培養(yǎng)的教學(xué)理念。
During the PrimaryChinese course introduction session, Chinese teacher Ms. Li introduced to parents about the way our PrimaryChinese courses are structured, our educational goals and how students learn both English and Chinese as their native languages.

上午在國際部老師的指引下，家長們分組走進(jìn)國際部校園進(jìn)行參觀。在邊聽講解邊參觀的過程中，家長們不僅了解了學(xué)校的硬件設(shè)施水平，更進(jìn)一步感受到國際部嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)創(chuàng)新的教學(xué)理念，和諧向上的學(xué)校氛圍以及學(xué)生的活力與創(chuàng)造力。
Parents were welcomed to join our guided school tour, where they could experience the facilities and the atmosphere they convey. Here, parents not only found safety and security with our new air purification system, but also felt the school culture from the gym, playground, labs, homerooms, display walls and the libraries.

Classroom Observation
校園開放日中，清華附中國際部創(chuàng)新性地加入了“進(jìn)班聽課”，這是家長們最期待的活動(dòng)，也是國際部對(duì)教育教學(xué)自信的充分表現(xiàn)。家長們走進(jìn)教室，零距離感受老師們的課堂藝術(shù)和學(xué)生們的學(xué)習(xí)狀態(tài)。學(xué)生對(duì)學(xué)習(xí)的投入和積極參與以及教師專業(yè)而活潑的授課方式都給家長們留下了深刻的印象。
On the open day, THIS innovatively joined the activity of "classroom observations", which was the most anticipated activity of parents. Parents observed classrooms in action and experienced the learning environment first hand. After experiencing the real education teaching environment, parents expressed that the school’s classes are lively and interesting, and thecampus atmosphereis harmonious and positive.

隨后，中學(xué)部主任Joyce先生與小學(xué)部主任Jones女士分別為中學(xué)和小學(xué)的家長們介紹具體的課程安排和教學(xué)活動(dòng)，并耐心解答了家長們關(guān)心的問題。
Secondary DirectorMr. Joyceand Primary Director Ms. Jones provided parents with in-depth information sessions about the curriculum and activities of different grade levels, touching on a number of key themes that parents were concerned about.

College Counseling
學(xué)校還為初高中家長安排了升學(xué)指導(dǎo)說明會(huì)。升學(xué)指導(dǎo)主任Ming為家長介紹了國際部在升學(xué)方面為學(xué)生提供的一系列支持和幫助。清華附中國際部擁有令人驕傲的畢業(yè)生升學(xué)成績，正是因?yàn)榻?jīng)驗(yàn)豐富的升學(xué)指導(dǎo)團(tuán)隊(duì)一直為學(xué)生們提供強(qiáng)有力的升學(xué)指導(dǎo)服務(wù)。
There was also a college counseling session for secondary school parents, where Director of College Counseling Ms. Weng introduced our excellent college application system. Most of our graduates have been admitted to top universities around the world with the help of college counseling team.

Afterwards,manyparents went to the training building to register interviews for their kids andcontinued to talk with the teachers.For many parents, the Open Day is their first encounter with THIS. It is an opportunity to see how THIS is a model international school harmonizing the best of Western and Chinese education and culture, as well as firmly focused on fostering creative critical thinkers who are rooted in China and prepared to lead in the global community.
